To let your guests know that you have received their upsell request, set up an auto-message. Additionally, set an alert for when their request is confirmed or denied.
To inform the guest that the request has been received:
Select the listing and click the Automated Messages tab
Click ‘Add Experience’
In the Automated Experience panel, update the name and ‘applies to’ sections
Set the trigger to: When a guest requests an upsell that requires approval for ‘Any Upsell’. You can select a specific upsell as a trigger too
Add the action with the custom message you’d like to send
Click ‘Save’

Set the trigger to: When the host approves a guest upsell purchase for ‘Any Upsell’ or ‘Specific Upsell’
Add the action with the custom message you’d like to send
