How to create an upsell

  1. Go to your Guest Journey Editor

  2. Select Upsells marked in red below, and this will open up the right hand panel.

To use an Enso Connect Template:

  1. Click on one of our upsell templates to get started under Recommended Upsells.

  2. To set up a time based upsell like Early Check In or Late Check Out, please use the template section and modify it accordingly.

To create an upsell from scratch, or using an existing set up,

  1. Click on Add Upsell.

  2. Select from the drop down: create from scratch, copy-existing or create from template.

Upsells have the same approach as fees, however they are not mandatory; these are optional payments.


Connected Listings

Select whether this fee applies to all of your listings, this group of listings, or specific listings within this group.

  1. Click on one of the three Connected Listings buckets

    1. All Listings: this upsell will apply and be visible for all listings.

    2. Current Listing Group: this upsell will apply and be visible only for the group of listings.

    3. Specific Listing: this upsell will apply to specific listings


Upsell Conditions

You can add a condition for when this upsell should be displayed. We recommend using the data you collected from the guest in the initial data collection step of your guest verification to personalize the upsells shared with guests! This means only showing business-related upsells to business travellers, vs leisure upsells to leisure travellers for example.

To select a condition

  1. Click on Add Condition

  2. Select from the drop-down of conditions


Upsell Description

Make sure to Name your upsell, and add a description of what this upsell is all about. You can include images, videos, text, and any other content that you see fit!


Upsell Pricing Options

You can provide multiple options for a single guest. Simply click Create Upsell option. This allows the guest to choose between one or the other option. Please note that options are currently exclusive, meaning that guests must choose A or B, and they cannot choose both.

Change the "Manually Approve Purchase" toggle to ON if you would like to manually approve the purchase. This means you will receive a request, just like you do for guests who are flagged for verification. You can then approve or deny this upsell. If you leave the toggle OFF, this will automatically approve the transaction.

Please make sure to Name your upsell in order to save.

You can add a price, and then a unit type:

  • Flat fee

  • Per night

  • Per person

  • Per person per night

  • Per pet

  • Per pet per night

Last Step: Click Save

You’ve now created a fee for your guests!
