What is Guest Verification?
Guest Verification is the process Enso Connect uses to confirm a guest’s identity and collect key details before check-in.
It helps property managers automate guest screening while keeping operations safe, compliant, and professional.
Why Guest Verification Matters
Identity confirmation – Ensures guests are who they claim to be using ID upload or automated verification.
Safety and trust – Reduces fraud, property damage, and unauthorized stays.
Legal compliance – Helps meet local record-keeping or registration requirements.
Smoother stays – Verified guests tend to have fewer issues and clearer communication.
How It Works in Enso Connect
Guest Verification takes place inside the Boarding Pass.
Depending on your configuration, guests may need to:
Provide contact and booking details (name, phone, number of guests, etc.).
Upload an ID and selfie for verification (manual or automated).
Sign house rules or rental agreements.
Pay deposits or fees if required.
Each step can be optional or mandatory — you decide what’s needed before guests receive their check-in details.
Best Practices
Collect accurate contact details for communication and support.
Apply stricter verification for high-risk bookings (last-minute, direct, large groups).
Release check-in instructions only after verification is complete.
Customize verification rules per listing, booking channel, or guest profile.
Remind guests in the booking confirmation message that the ID must match the booking name to avoid verification failure.
Advise guests to take clear, well-lit photos of the ID and selfie, ensuring text is readable and the selfie resembles the ID photo, as blurry or invalid images often cause verification issues.
