An upsell is an extra service, upgrade, or experience guests can purchase to enhance their stay.
Think of it as your way to boost both guest satisfaction and revenue.
Common examples include:
Early check-in or late check-out
Airport transfers or car rentals
Spa treatments, tours, or private experiences
Equipment rentals like bikes or paddleboards
Welcome packages or premium amenities
How upsells work
You can choose to auto-approve upsells or manually review them first.
Visibility depends on factors such as:
The permissions you set up in your Guest Verification, upsells can be displayed before or after guest verification.
The conditions you have added to your upsells, such as guest tags and boarding pass collected data to target upsells effectively.
The official booking check-in date (e.g., a “Early Check-In” offer won’t appear after check-in time)
The status of your connected Stripe account (if there are unresolved issues, upsells may not process correctly)
After a guest chooses an upsell, they must complete payment processing successfully (including any required 3DS steps, enough funds in the payment method etc.). Failure to do so may prevent the upsell from being granted.
💡 Tip: Make sure your Stripe account is active and assigned to the corresponding listing groups to ensure a smooth payment experience for guests.
