This guide will help you enable both the "Sending" and "Receiving" capabilities for your email system. Both functionalities must be enabled for the system to work properly, ensuring that guests can send replies to the same email address they received messages from.
Enabling the "Sending" Capability
Before configuring the "Receiving" functionality, the "Sending" capability must be enabled. This allows the system to send messages to guests. Follow the steps below:
Steps to Enable "Sending":
1. Send Verification:
Click on the "Send Verification" button.
A verification email will be sent to your inbox.
2. Verify the Setup:
Open your inbox and locate the verification email.
Click the verification link within the email.
3. Refresh the Sending Status:
After clicking the verification link, return to your email system and click the refresh icon next to "Sending".
4. Check the Status:
Verify that the status has changed from "Not Connected" (red) to "Connected" (green).
Enabling the "Receiving" Capability
Once the "Sending" capability is enabled, you can proceed to activate the "Receiving" functionality. This ensures that emails sent by guests are properly forwarded to the correct address.
Steps to Enable "Receiving":
1. Access Email Settings:
Open your email provider's settings menu.
Navigate to the section for forwarding options (usually found under settings, filters, or mail forwarding).
2. Set the Forwarding Address:
In the forwarding settings, locate the field for entering a forwarding address.
Input the provided forwarding email address in this field.
3. Save and Confirm Setup:
Save the changes to enable email forwarding.
Some email providers may send a verification email to the forwarding address. Follow the prompt to confirm the forwarding setup by clicking the verification link.
4. Send Verification:
After saving the settings, click the "Send Verification" button.
A verification email will be sent to your inbox, which should automatically forward to us.
5. Verification Process:
Once we receive the forwarded email, we will verify it.
If the process is successful, the status will update from "Not Connected" (red) to "Connected" (green).
Additional Notes:
Verification Link Handling:
Some email providers may send a verification link to the forwarding address to ensure the receiver is genuine.
We attempt to bounce these emails back to your original email account, so you can complete the verification by clicking the link yourself.
Important: Both Capabilities Must Be Enabled
Sending and Receiving functionality will not work until both are enabled. Ensure that you complete both processes, starting with "Sending," followed by "Receiving."
Once both are connected, the system will fully function, allowing you to send and receive emails seamlessly.
