Inbox icon glossary

Updated yesterday

Enso’s inbox comes with many additional features to ensure efficient, organized and timely guest communication. Here is an overview of some of the new icons that will help to streamline you and your guests' experience!

Messaging method

When communicating with guests in the inbox, you can choose which platform you would like to send your message through, using the icons at the bottom of the chat. These options will be different if your guest booked through Airbnb, Booking.com, Vrbo, etc. You can also see which platform your guest has sent the message from on the icon directly beside their message.

Booking panel

The icon in the top right corner of your inbox allows you to open the booking panel for a guest. This contains information about the guests’ reservation, including a preview of their boarding pass, booking details, and if they have completed key steps in their verification process. In this panel you can see the booking channel, as well as the reservation status (i.e. confirmed, cancelled, etc.).

Messages

The icons below the guest name allow you to see the different types of messages that are available in the inbox. The Messages icon is the standard chat section between you and your guest, where you can communicate with them, schedule messages to be sent to them at a later time, write notes to your team based on your conversation with the guest, and send the guest their boarding pass using the plus icon, in case they have any issues accessing it.

The Notes icon is where you can see any notes your team has written, including information about who wrote it and when it was written, as well as edit notes. This is useful in order to keep track of tasks that may need to be done such as calling an electrician to fix a maintenance issue.

The Auto-messages icon allows you to see all of the scheduled auto-messages that you have set up for this property. This includes booking confirmations, check-in messages, and any other messages that you have scheduled. This section allows you to monitor upcoming auto-messages, as well as edit or delete them for that particular guest if needed.

Guest organization

The icons in the top right corner of your inbox allow you to organize your guest conversations, and simplify your messaging. The Follow Up button allows you to schedule a future time to check-in on your guest, maybe to see if a problem has been resolved. This moves the conversation to the Follow-up tab on the left hand side, until the scheduled time that you set arrives. Then, this conversation will be moved back into the To-do tab on the left side, to allow you to complete your follow-up.

The Resolve button allows you to move guest conversations out of your to-do section, if their problem has been resolved. This conversation will then be in the Resolved section if you want to access it later. However, if the guest messages with a new question, their message will move from Resolved or Follow-up to the To-do section, so you do not miss questions.

After five days of inactivity in a guest conversation, Enso will automatically move it into the Archived Messages section. You can still access these messages later, but they are removed from the main inbox, in order to tidy up your message panel. Additionally, you can select the three dots beside a guest's name, and select Archive conversation if you would like to manually move it.

Another way to organize guest conversations is to utilize the filters on the top left side of the inbox. This allows you to filter the conversation list by a number of factors including check-in date, guest sentiment, guest booking channel, and so on. You can also save these filters as a view if you would like them to always appear on the left side of your inbox for easy access, along with the general views that Enso has set up.

You can also organize conversations by labeling the contact as a Guest, Owner, Maintenance, or Cleaner. This allows you to access specific views with only members of one of these groups, and also gives you the ability to add maintenance or cleaners as followers on guest conversations, when their help may be needed.

These are some of the many exciting new features of our inbox! This article should help allow you to navigate easily through your inbox, and organize your messages to create the easiest possible communication with guests.
