Understanding & Setting Fees

Collect fees through Enso

Updated this week

What are fees?

Fees are additional charges or holds collected from guests during the verification process before check-in instructions are released. They help cover extra costs or protect against potential damages.

Common types of fees include:

  • Safety Deposits (Hold): A refundable hold placed on the guest’s card before check-in and released after checkout. It serves as security for potential damage and you will be able to collect it in case of damage.

  • Damage Waivers: A non-refundable payment that covers accidental damage up to a certain amount.

  • Other Custom Fees: Such as pet fees, tourist taxes, or utility fees that can cover specific costs like cleaning, taxes, utilities or amenities.

How fees work

Fees are part of the guest verification flow. Guests complete ID verification, sign the rental agreement, and pay or authorize the required fee before receiving their boarding pass or check-in details.

All fees are processed through your connected Stripe account.
