How to create a Static Boarding Pass

Updated over a week ago

With Static Boarding Pass, you can set up a link that automatically displays the Guidebooks and Upsells without requiring any verification. This is most effective when you are demonstrating the look and feel of the boarding pass to a prospective customer, partner, or other individual.

Steps

  1. Add a verification setting specifically for 'booking channel does not exist'.

  2. Remove any form, agreement, and ID collection steps.

  3. Ensure that 'Show guidebooks & upsells before verification' is toggled on

  4. Update all the rest of the existing verification settings to include the condition 'if booking channel exists.'

Checks

  1. There should only be one verification setting that has the condition 'booking channel does not exist'. All others need to have the reverse condition, 'If booking channel exists.'

  2. Turn on the Show guidebooks & upsells before verification setting on the setting that has the 'booking channel does not exist' condition.

  3. Apply this to the listing group, and replicate the same setup to the other listing groups that you'd like this to be available in.

Converting the Static Boarding Pass Link into a QR Code

Option 1: Apple devices

Use the QR code Shortcut to generate the QR code from the link.

Option 2: Non-Apple devices

Google 'QR code Generator' and use any of the options you are presented with. In general, it will require the url AKA Boarding Pass link in order to generate the QR code.

NOTE

The Static Boarding Pass link will stop working if someone goes through the verification steps by clicking the Verify Me button.
