How to make vacation rental efficient with smart automation

Updated over 2 weeks ago

What are workflows and conditions in Enso Connect, and why are they important?
Workflows and conditions are core features of Enso Connect that give you the flexibility to customize nearly every part of the guest experience. Whether you’re setting rules for verification, deciding when certain guidebooks appear, or configuring automated messages, conditions let you tailor the journey based on guest details, booking tags, or timing.

What was the previous limitation with conditions?
Previously, the platform required sequential logic for conditions. For example, if you wanted to trigger an action when a listing was either one-bedroom or two-bedroom, you had to create separate workflows for each case. There was no way to combine these using a single “or” condition.

What has changed with the latest condition updates?
Now, you can group conditions using “is one of” logic. For instance, when setting up a workflow, you can say:
“If the booking tag is one of: verified, checked in, or completed step X,” then take action.
This means the system will trigger the workflow if any of the selected conditions are met, reducing the need for redundant setups.

What are some practical uses for the new condition logic?

  • Send a message only if a guest is verified or has checked in

  • Show a guidebook if the booking matches any one of several tags

  • Present an upsell only when certain journey steps are completed

This lets you cover more scenarios in fewer workflows!

Why is this update valuable?
It significantly improves your ability to build efficient and flexible automations, avoiding repetitive workflows while covering multiple use cases with a single setup. This enhancement streamlines your guest operations and increases the sophistication of your automations.
