How to Maximize Revenue with Condition-Based Damage Waivers | Short-Term Rental Tips

Updated over 2 weeks ago

How can I customize damage waivers for different properties in Enso Connect?
Using Enso Connect’s conditional workflows, you can customize damage waivers without creating separate fees for every individual property. Instead, you can apply group-level or tag-based logic to automatically assign the appropriate waiver based on specific criteria.

What are some examples of how conditions can be used for damage waivers?
One customer manages multiple properties within a group and uses four different damage waivers — each triggered by its own set of conditions. For instance:

  • One waiver applies only if the listing has two bedrooms and the booking type is not PGO or an owner booking.

  • Others use different pricing logic, such as charging $49 for certain guests and $99 for others.

These waivers act like a decision tree, evaluating details like bedroom count, booking type, guest type, and property tags to automatically apply the correct fee.

How do I set this up in my Enso Connect dashboard?
Go to the fee section in your dashboard and either create a new damage waiver, duplicate an existing one, or use a template. Then, click Edit and add your conditions — you can base them on property tags, booking types, number of bedrooms, and more.

What are the benefits of using conditions for damage waivers?
This approach keeps your setup clean and efficient by eliminating the need for redundant entries. It ensures the right fee is applied in the right context, making your operations more scalable and accurate.
