Our content system is built on one core concept: everything you create in Enso — upsells, fees, workflows, AI policies, messaging styles — is scoped to one of three levels. Once you understand these levels, the rest of the system falls into place.
The Three Scoping Levels
Listing
A single property in your account. Content created at this level applies only to that one listing, and won't affect any other property, even ones that are similar or in the same group. Use this level when a property genuinely needs its own rules, pricing, or workflows that shouldn't be shared with anything else, such as a unique upsell tied to a specific unit's amenities or a one-off policy exception for a single owner.
Listing Group
A set of listings with similar aspects, usually sorted by location, property manager, building, and so on. They can be managed together under the same content, rules and conditions. Instead of creating the same content for multiple listings, you create it once for the group, and every listing inside follows the same content, including any new listings added to the group later.
All Listings
Your entire account. Content set here applies to every property automatically, including any new listings you add later. This is the broadest level to work from: instead of creating the same upsell, fee, or workflow across every property (or every group), you set it up once and it cascades everywhere. Use this level for anything that's genuinely universal across your business. For example, a booking confirmation, an early check-in or a fee that applies no matter where or what type of property a guest is booking.
Why Scoping Matters
Scoping determines both where your content appears and how much of it you have to maintain.
In the previous system, content was typically created at the individual listing level. This meant the same upsell or workflow often existed dozens or even hundreds of times across an account — and any change had to be repeated for each copy.
The new system reverses that approach.
Best Practice
Build content at the All Listings level whenever it applies account-wide.
Use Listing Groups for anything that varies by location or property type.
Reserve individual Listings for true one-off exceptions.
