Adding translated auto-messages

Updated over a month ago

Being able to communicate with your guests in their preferred language is key to creating a smooth guest experience. Here is how to translate auto-messages based on your guest’s language!

Before following the steps below, prepare translations of your auto-messages in all languages you want to make available. We recommend translating auto-messages for your five most common guest languages.

  1. Go to the Listings tab in Enso and select the listing group or listing that you would like to translate auto-messages for.

  2. Select the auto-message that you would like to translate from the recommended templates, create one from scratch or copy an existing one.

  3. Under the Then section, choose the type of message you would like to send (SMS, email, etc), and select the dropdown menu that shows your default language (English). Scroll through the list and select the language that you would like to translate your messages into.

  4. Add in the translated auto-message and click Done then Save.

  5. Repeat these steps for any other auto-messages you would like to translate as well as any additional languages you would like to translate your auto-messages into.

Pre-requisite:

Please make sure to add 'Guest Language' as a field in your Guest Information Collection step so you have your guests preferred language saved in Enso.

Note:

  • If a guest selects a language without an available translation, the auto-messages will default to English.

  • The translated auto-messages appear automatically without requiring additional configuration.

  • If you plan to send out messages on multiple platforms (SMS, Airbnb, etc), you must individually add language translations under each message type.

Now you should be able to translate your auto-messages into a guest’s preferred language in order to provide them with the information they need!
