Learn about each guidebook field
Place field: this field lets you highlight a local spot you’d like to recommend to your guests in the guidebook—whether it’s a restaurant, attraction, or something else entirely. Once you add the place, EnsoAI will automatically fill in helpful details like the website, directions, description, image, and star rating, making it easy for your guests to access everything they need. Of course, you can also personalize any of these details to better suit your guest experience.
Summary field: this field lets you create an introduction to your guidebook—perfect for setting the tone or providing a brief overview. You can also include a linked table of contents here simply by checking the display table of contents box, making it easy for guests to quickly jump to the sections that are most relevant to them.
Header field: this field lets you add a title for each section of your guidebook, helping to organize and break up the content. These headers will also automatically populate the table of contents in the summary field. To make your guidebook more visually engaging, you can also include images or icons alongside your headers, in this field.
List field: this field lets you create a list, complete with a customizable title, and as many items as you want. This can be helpful if you are listing the amenities that are offered or (chat can you fill in a couple other examples here). You can also customize your lists to be formatted in a bulleted, numbered, or divided style.
Text field: this field allows you to create a list with a customizable title and as many items as you’d like. It’s perfect for showcasing things like available amenities, nearby restaurants, house rules, packing suggestions, or local tips. You can also choose how your list is formatted—bulleted, numbered, or divided—depending on what works best for your content.
Button field: this field allows you to add a clickable button that links to a website, another guidebook, or an upsell. Start by choosing the button type:
Website – great for linking to things like directions, restaurant menus, attraction pages, or booking platforms.
Guidebook – useful if you want to direct guests to a different guidebook, such as one focused on amenities or local attractions.
Upsell – ideal for promoting services like late check-out, equipment rentals, spa treatments, or extend your stay.
Next, customize the button text—this is what guests will see on the button (e.g., Visit Website, View Guidebook, or Check Out Upsells). Finally, paste in the link for a website, or select the relevant guidebook or upsell directly from your Enso account so it's properly connected.
Image field: this field allows you to add an image to enhance the visual appeal of your guidebook. You can upload a photo from your device, insert one from the internet, or choose from the Enso photo bank. If you’d like the full image to display exactly as uploaded—regardless of size or fit—check the “Show full image” box. Otherwise, the image may be cropped slightly to best fit the layout of your guidebook. You also have the option to add an image label, which is a private note to help you stay organized by identifying each image within the guidebook builder.
Note: You can change the order of each section by dragging the cards using the ≡ icon.
Additionally, you have the option to provide EnsoAI with a prompt to auto-generate content for any section. This makes it easy to maintain a consistent and professional tone throughout your guidebook.
You can also insert custom fields anywhere in the guidebook to personalize the content for each guest, creating a more tailored experience.
5. Finally, click Save.
That's it—your guidebook is ready!
